MARINET is developing cooperation with Norwegian partners

The two-day Russian-Norwegian seminar on the development of cooperation in the field of civil shipbuilding, which was attended by representatives of more than 30 companies and organizations of the two countries, was hold on May 28-29, 2019 in Alesund (Norway). The main topics of the seminar were cooperation in the field of localization of solutions of Norwegian companies in Russia and cooperation in the field of innovation and high-tech solutions within the MARINET platform.

MARINET participants have presented their advanced solutions and projects, such as the e-Navigation pilot project (Kronstadt Technologies), Operational satellite services and analytics for the maritime industry (SCANEX),Integrated geophysical 3D mapping of seabed (Marine Innovations), Underwater positioning, navigation and communication (Laboratory of Underwater Communication and Navigation), (more…)

MARINET at the VI International Forum “Arctic Projects – Today and Tomorrow”

MARINET will participate in the in VI International Forum “Arctic Projects – Today and Tomorrow” held on October 18-19  in the city of Arkhangelsk.

MARINET participants will present own projects on October 18, and on October 19 the round table “Intercluster and interregional cooperation within the framework of MARINET” will be organized. During the round table, representatives of the MARINET, the Government of the Arkhangelsk Region, the regional shipbuilding cluster and regional enterprises will discuss the opportunities provided by MARINET for the regional shipbuilding development.

Within the thematic sessions of the forum, the results of several MARINET projects will be presented: MPAC-3D (Marine Innovations) – “New opportunities for the exploration of the seabed and engineering surveys”, (more…)

Electromagnetic sounding technology was presented at the forum in Portugal

Scientists from Irkutsk National Research Techical Institute Yuriy Davydenko and Denis Bogdanovic presented at the international forum  Near Surface Geoscience-2018 the technology for electromagnetic sounding in engineering survey and search of hydrocarbons.

At the exhibition stand, the results of two expeditions were presented: shipboard tests of the unified software and hardware complex “MPAC-3D-ELECTRO”. The works were held last summer in the Black Sea in the framework of the MARINET project. The “MPAC-3D-ELECTRO” power source and the measuring station are installed on the ship, and the generator and receiving braids are towed behind the vessel, triggering and recording electromagnetic pulses that transmit information about the structure of the seabed. Such measuring electromagnetic systems have been successfully used for several years by specialists of the Siberian Geophysical Company to search for hydrocarbons on the Russian Arctic shelf. Marine Magnetometer MariMag

MariMag is high-sensitive, precise and compact system for magnetic surveys both in shallow and deep waters. Precise Overhauser MariMag sensor provides stable operations without any maintenance in a ten-year period.

Built-in compass, accelerometer, leakage detector, pressure and humidity sensors allow us to control the fish position and switch it off in case of the flow. (more…)

Mobile marine system for hydraulic fracturing

Mobile marine system for hydraulic fracturing – a set of technological equipment for marine applications, providing for enhancement and acid fracturing, offshore oil and gas fields, including on the Arctic shelf.

The complex is an innovative design which has no analogues in the Russian Federation.

Its technical characteristics is not inferior to foreign analogues, which are operated by service companies Baker Hughes, Halliburton (USA) and Schlumberger (USA – France). (more…)

Distributed fiber-optic hydroacoustic sensor

The fiber-optic sensor being developed represents a distributed phase array of hydroacoustic signals. It will be exploited as a towed seismic streamer in active marine seismic survey and as an ocean bottom seismic system for acquisition of microseismic events at underwater exploration of hydrocarbon reservoirs. Its long fiber-optic cable acts as a set of sequential sensing elements and simultaneously represents the data collection line.

The system consists of three main parts, which are being developed in collaboration of different profile companies. The first part is hardware located on the surface, which includes optical, electronic and digital subsystems. The hardware part is being developed by our company. The second part is the actual sensing element of the system. It is a specially designed fiber-optic cable having a complex structure, which was given directional properties in space. And the third one is the software allowing to conduct digital signal processing in real time and also to automate analysis and interpretation of collected information. (more…)

Project “MPC-3D” for 3D modeling and areal survey of sea-bed is supported by NTI

New MARINET project is supported by NTI – Development of multi-purpose software-hardware complex for 3D modeling and areal survey of sea-bed for the purpose of mineral resources exploration and engineering-geological support for the construction of underwater structures. The project budget is 15 MUSD including 8,25 MUSD of government support within the NTI.

A multi-purpose hardware-software complex is developed by Marine Innovarion Ltd. for high-precision 3D modeling of sea-bed structure for the purpose of mineral resources exploration and monitoring, as well as for for conduction of engineer-surveys on the shelf consisting of the following inter-related modules:

Multi-channel electro-prospecting streamer for marine engineering surveys

The purpose of the development is to create a comprehensive technology of effective marine engineering surveys to minimize the risks in construction and operation of technical structures on the shelf: drilling platforms, gas pipelines, etc., which is achieved by studying the bottom sediment with a set of geophysical methods as well as by monitoring these facilities during the period of operation.

The result of the use of these technologies will be creation of an integrated geological and geophysical cross-section down to a depth of 500 meters. In association with seismic and echolocation data, the use of electrical exploration technologies will allow to identify such geo-electric heterogeneities in the upper part of the cross-section as gas pockets, gas hydrates, zones of permafrost and fault zones.
