[:en]May 17, 2018 in Nizhny Novgorod the MARINET will arrange its next meeting.  The meeting will be open at 12:00 in the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University named after R.E. Alekseev at the address: 24 Minin street, Nizhny Novgorod (Conference Hall of the Academic Council of the NSTU).

This is the second MARINET meeting in Nizhny Novgorod, it is held on the initiative of the Privolzhsky project office of MARINET. Therefore, special attention will be paid to the regional topics: regional projects, as well as cooperation within the framework of the Nizhny Novgorod shipbuilding cluster and the establishment of the MARINET Caspian Center.

Also, the participants of the meeting will be able to visit “Akvarobofest”, the open city competition on robotic water games organized by the Nizhny Novgorod Children’s River Shipping Company on the same day at the NSTU.

We will be happy to see you in NSTU at 11:00 AM, when the “Akvarobofest” competition begins and the registration for the meeting will be open. Это уже второе заседание Маринет в Нижнем Новгороде, оно проводится по инициативе Приволжского проектного офиса Маринет. Поэтому особое внимание в повестке дня будет уделено региональному аспекту: рассмотрению проектов представителей региона, а также вопросам кооперации в рамках Нижегородского судостроительного кластера и создания Каспийского центра Маринет НТИ.

[:en]Russia and India to cooperate on development of high-speed maritime transport[:ru]Россия и Индия намерены развивать производство скоростного транспорта[:]

[:en]M.O.H. Group (India), RDC Aqualines Company (Russia), Indo-Russian Chamber of Commerce & Industries and Russia’s National Technological Initiative have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly develop the production and operation of new high-speed maritime crafts. The document has been signed today, September 20th, at the MariNet booth of the NEVA 2017, IAA PortNews correspondent reports from the exhibition.

The MoU was signed by M.O.H. Iqubal (M.O.H. Group), A.Sivathanu Pillai and P.Thangappan (IRCCI), Pavel Tsarapkin (RDC Aqualines Company) and Alexander Pinskiy (MARINET).

The overall goal of the project is to increase the speed of sea transportation in principle. Options for solving this problem are ekranoplans and hydrofoil vessels.

The result of the project (product) should be the development of a basic technical appearance (platform), as well as the technical and operational design, production of a specific vehicle – the multipurpose marine ekranoplan EP-15 (length 16.5 m, displacement 5.5 tons, capacity 15 people) and putting it into operation.

The purpose of the vehicle is cargo and passenger transportation at the speed of up to 200 km/h on the route lines of 50 – 300 km, with a 3 points wave. Herewith, the ekranoplan has no need for airport infrastructure and certification procedures related to aviation.
